Faith Healer is one of Olivier and Tony Award winner Brian Friel’s most famous plays which premiered on Broadway back in 1979.

The prolific Irish writer’s other works include Philadelphia Here I Come, Translations and Dancing at Lughnasa, but the story of Frank Hardy remains an audience and critical favourite thanks to its compelling unreliable narrator.

The Fantastic Francis Hardy (Seamus O'Rourke) is travelling through every remote, lonely and hopeful village in Ireland, Wales and Scotland. For one night only, he is promising miracle cures for the ailing, sick and suffering. Can he really cure people with a touch of his hands or is he a scam artist?

Frank is in a conflict of his own: with his wife Grace (Orla Fitzpatrick) and manager Teddy (Michael Patric). As the three recount their lives together, a well of dissident, fractured memories is uncovered in Brian Friel’s masterpiece.
