Accessibility Information

To make an accessibility booking or enquiry please call our Box Office directly on (01) 231 2929. If we are unavailable to take your call, please leave a voicemail or send an email to boxoffice@paviliontheatre.ie.

Accessible Seating
If you wish to book accessible seating, please contact the Box Office as much in advance of the show as possible.
 
Please advise the Box Office staff of all of your requirements when booking and we can see if we can accommodate these requests.
 
The main auditorium has the facility for 3 wheelchair spaces in row A, which is fully accessible from the foyer.
 
If you are making a group booking which requires more than 3 wheelchair spaces, please contact our Box Office as soon as possible.

If you would like to attend one of our cinema screenings, we can acccommodate one wheelchair on our Row R balcony, which is accessible by our lift in the foyer.
 
As shows begin to sell out, we will sell the seats in the areas that have wheelchair accessible seating.
 
Accessible Toilet Facilities
Pavilion Theatre has accessible toilet facilities in the foyer area to the left of the Box Office.
 
Our accessible toilet is fitted with an alarmed Red Cord. If any customer requires assistance in the toilet, they can pull this cord and it will emit a small beep that will alert staff. This cord should always be left hanging freely to the floor. If you notice that it has been moved, please inform a member of staff immediately.

Ramp
There is ramp access to the theatre located on Marine Road. 
 
Lift Facilities
Pavilion Theatre has one lift in the venue. This lift goes between our foyer and our upstairs gallery. It is not connected to any of the surrounding car parks.

Please note our lift can only contain 2 people maximum or 1 person in a wheelchair and one companion. The maximum weigt capacity of the lift is 300kg.
 
Loop System at Box Office
We have a hearing loop installed at our Box Office. Please switch your hearing device to the T position in order to use the system.
 
Assistive Listening System in the Auditorium
We have an Assistive Listening system in our auditorium that operates via an app using a smartphone and headphones.
 
You can download the "MobileConnect" app for free in order to use this system on your own smartphone. Click this link for more detailed instructions on how to use our Assistive Listening System.

Guide/Assistance Dogs
Guide/assistance dogs are welcome at Pavilion Theatre.
 
Please note that if your guide/assistance dog is accompanying you to one of our performances then you need to book your seats in either row A, R or S. If these seats are not available when you are trying to book online, please contact our Box Office.
 
Water bowls can be provided.
 
Carer & Concession Tickets
Pavilion Theatre recognise and acknowledge people's differences and support them with their individual needs. Concession tickets and carer tickets may be available on certain performances for those with additional needs. Please contact Box Office on 012312929 for more information.
 
Early Entry and Courtesy Seating Area
We operate an early entry service for any of our customers who would like to enter the auditorium before we open the doors for the main audience.
 
Please identify yourself at Box Office at least 30 minutes before the show and the Duty Manager can arrange this.

While you wait, we have some benches in our foyer that are designated as Courtesy Seating Areas for those who are less able to stand.
 
Fire Evacution
If you have any questions about our fire evacuation procedure that may relate to any accessible needs, please contact our Box Office on 012312929, or email boxoffice@paviliontheatre.ie . You can always ask a member of staff when you are in the venue.

Please note that Pavilion Theatre has no direct access to or from any of the carparks in our area. Access to our podium is via the ramp on Marine Road.
 
Large Print Brochure
We now have a large print brochure available from our Box Office. Please ask a member of staff if you'd like to read this version of our brochure.
 
Use of Strobe Lighting / Stroboscopic Lighting and Other Stage Effects
Strobe lighting, lighting that produces stroboscopic effects, smoke machines and other theatrical effects may be used during some of our shows.
 
If you are affected by any of these effects, please contact the Box Office in advance of purchasing your tickets and we can advise you if they are being used.
 
Baby Changing Facilities
There is a baby changing fold down table located in our accessible toilet facilities
 
Buggies, Pushchairs & Carrier Seats
Please note that buggies, pushchairs and child carrier seats are not permitted in the auditorium of Pavilion Theatre for health and safety reasons. We can store your buggy, pushchair or carrier seat in our foyer area. There will be a member of staff in the foyer at all times.
 
Alternative text on our Images
The images on our website have alternative text attached to them. This alternative text is read by screen readers in place of images, allowing the content and function of the image to be accessible to those with visual or certain cognitive disabilities.
