Karen Underwood: The Music of Nina Simone

Karen Underwood - known as Cork’s Jazz Diva - enjoyed five sellout shows at the Cork Opera House in October 2023. This summer she and her friends Gary Beecher (piano), Dave Whitla (bass) and David Ryan (drums) bring to Dún Laoghaire a show which serves as reflection of Karen’s life and the life of Nina Simone.

Underwood is a panellist on The Today Show, a singer, and a storyteller. She has performed at the National Concert Hall, Vicar Street, 3Olympia, Theatre, Marlay Park, The Millenium Forum Derry, and a host of other major venues.
