WAVESeries
A Concert Series
Proudly presented by Pavilion Theatre, Dún Laoghaire, WAVESeries is a showcase of artists on the cutting edge of contemporary music who are creating vibrant sound worlds and redefining genres.
The series kicks off in March 2026 with acclaimed Dublin ensemble Glasshouse performing an ambitious, immersive reimagining of legendary Icelandic artist Björk, whose fearless creativity has reshaped the landscape of contemporary music. Following many successful collaborations including new arrangements of Ryuichi Sakamoto, Sigur Rós and Jóhann Jóhannsson, Glasshouse were the perfect fit to set the tone for WAVESeries.
Then, in April 2026, we're excited to welcome exiled Russian pianist and composer Evgeny Grinko to Ireland for the very first time as he celebrates the release of his new album Winter Moonlight. Featuring strings, sythesiser and live strings adding additional depth and textrue to his signature bittersweet piano melodies.
Following that, we'll play host to Australian-Taiwanese pianist, composer and produer Belle Chen, who has received an Australian Music Prize nomination and priase from none other than Brian Eno for her electronic-influenced neoclassical compositions.
Best known for soundtracking the National Theatre production of The Seagull, London's Poppy Ackroyd has earned a reputation for bewitching contemporary classical piano tracks that linger with listeners long after the final note. She makes her Irish debut at Pavilion Theatre to mark the release of Liminal, her first album in five years which sees her blending violin with her usual sound.
With many more exciting concerts in the works, the best way to stay up to date on all things WAVESeries is to subscribe to our mailing list.
