Pavilion Theatre & Foggy Notions present
Beth Orton & special guest Sam Amidon
Pavilion Theatre and Foggy Notions are proud to present a very special double bill featuring Beth Orton and very special guest Sam Amidon.
Beth Orton rose to fame in the ’90s through collaborations with William Orbit, Red Snapper and The Chemical Brothers before striking out on her own with a critically acclaimed, BRIT Award-winning solo career. Known for her singular voice and fusion of electronic and acoustic sounds, Orton has continually evolved since her 1996 debut Trailer Park. After years of misdiagnosed illness, she found clarity and creative renewal at the piano, resulting in 2022’s Weather Alive, her first fully self-produced album.
Sam Amidon is a Vermont-born, London-based singer and multi-instrumentalist known for reimagining traditional American songs. His new album Salt River follows Teac Damsa’s acclaimed Nobodaddy, which was centred around his songs. Amidon has collaborated widely, including with Bon Iver, The National, The Blind Boys of Alabama and The Gloaming.
