Foggy Notions & Pavilion Theatre

Bonnie “Prince” Billy

& special guests Garefowl & Brigid Mae Power
as part of Dún Laoghaire Folk Festival 2026

Not his first time visiting Pavilion Theatre, Bonnie Prince Billy performed a mesmerizing set here in 2014. In fact, he’s been generously visiting Irish shores in various forms (Palace Brothers, Palace, Will Oldham, Bonny Billy) for 33 years, over the course of which he has nurtured a deep connection with Irish audiences.

In March this year Bonnie released the album We Are Together Again. Recorded in his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky at the wonderfully named End of an Ear Studios, less than ten minutes from his house, he describes this album as ten songs of “love and friendship and fiasco.” It’s always a great honour to welcome back one the truly singular American songwriters, singers and musicians of his generation back to our shores.

Inspired by the remote Hebridean island of St Kilda, Garefowl combine instruments, vocals, field recordings, and eerie drones extracted from seabird bones to weave a uniquely evocative, immersive musical world.

A purveyor of dreamier pop with folky leanings, Brigid Mae Power’s sound is a unique marriage of traditional stylings and very modern melodies; a breathtaking soundtrack which underpins her gorgeous vocals.
