Pressure
This tense, intelligent wartime drama revisits one of the most pivotal moments in World War II. Focusing on the high-stakes planning that led to the eventual D-Day landings, Pressure features excellent performances across the board, including from Irish stars Andrew Scott (All Of Us Strangers, Vanya) and Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin).
Early June, 1944. As Allied leaders secretly prepare plans for D-Day, accomplished meteorologist Gp Capt. James Stagg is brought into the fold. He and his team quickly identify that unseasonably stormy conditions are likely to lead to a disastrous landing in France. However, with time running out and competing forecasts suggesting fine conditions, Stagg must convince under-pressure leaders such as Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser) that failure to heed his forecast could be catastrophic.
